The Viceroy Collection
The Viceroy Collection uses only the finest of hardwoods for their furniture, doors and various architectural elements; mainly teak, mahogany, rosewood. All of the timber are from mature trees dating at least 65 years in age, thereby assuring rich grain and color. These logs are awaiting processing at our timber mill yard. After the logs are cut into predetermined size boards, they are placed into a kiln dryer for about 3 to 4 weeks. Calibrated meters are used to measure the wood’s moisture. The international standard is 8 to 12 percent. This process minimizes the potential for wood shrinking or expansion. The Viceroy Collection offers these fine furniture and door products for those who expect the best in home furnishings. Our furniture products are made to last forever, and would be considered heirloom pieces for generations to come. Handmade, hand-carved and solid wood products that will exceed your expectations. Our Collections
Over the centuries of time, India has created the most exotic and beautiful furniture, doors and architectural structures known in the world. Great pride was taken into building magnificent palaces and temples, using very unique and unmistakable designs. During the Dutch, Portuguese & British colonialism, the Indian wood- workers & artisans created a wonderful, unique style of doors & furniture. These classical Anglo-Indian pieces are still made today, as they were for the Europeans. The Viceroy Collection recreates museum quality products through the use of hand- carved exotic hardwoods, using methods & tools that have been used by their forefathers.
